The Club and our parent Association the Lancashire Aikikai follow the BAB's Child Safeguarding & Protection policy (CSPP). (Principles & Responsibilities)
Our responsibility is to safeguard the welfare of every child and young person who has been entrusted to our care. All young people under the age of 18 years come within this policy and best practice.
We are also committed to working to provide a safe environment for all members and so also follow the BAB Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding and Protection Policy (VASPP). (Guidance on the Policy)

The CSPP policy is expanded by Supplementary Documents to provide detail and guidance - each topic is a separate pdf file. Particularly noted by CSPP :-
Photography / Videoing of those under 18 is not generally permitted except by the Club in line with the British Aikido Board's policy & the Club's social media policy.
Electronic Communication: Club members will not use Social Media, messaging, phones or email to communicate with Children who are or have been members of the Club. Further guidance is given by in the British Aikido Board's policy & the Club's social media policy
